This belt is Too Big.
- Tip is hitting the No Slip Grip Buckle™ which means it cannot be tightened further.
- When belts are too big, it's not working like it should for you.

BELT FAQS
Take our quiz! Some individuals may need a thinner width due to having a smaller torso.
Measuring with a tape will give you the most accurate measurement when purchasing a belt. To ensure a proper fit, our belts rely on fitting the circumference of your waist.
DO NOT USE A PANTS MEASUREMENT. Someone who wears a size 32 in pants, would not be guaranteeed to wear a 32 inch belt. Your pants are meant to fit you comfortably and sit on your hips, whereas a lifting belt is meant to be tight and support you during your lifts. Two different uses means two different sizes. Please measure before ordering :)
Please check with each lifting federation to see what types of belts are allowable. All of our belts are 4.5 inches or 4 inches, which are allowable in any USAW Sanctioned Meet.
Section 4 of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Handbook concerning the Athlete’s Outfit stating the maximum width of the belt shall not exceed 12 cm (4.72 inches).
Our belts are allowable in any unsanctioned meet unless you're otherwise notified by the meet director.
We do not accept returns but we do exchanges on non-custom belts. To initiate an exchange, please email us at hello@liftingthedream.com with your order number and the size you wish to exchange with.
Ideally, your belt will last you many, many lifting sessions. Our belts have been known to last many years but here are some tips to prolong the life of your belt:
- Keep your velcro clean so it stays sticky! The velcro will likely wear down before any other component of the belt.
- Use the No Slip Buckle™ whenever you can, again, to preserve the life of the velcro.
- Store your belt in a bag inside your gym bag to keep debris from attaching to the velcro.
